Met Eireann and MeteoTimes.net now believe a warm spell will arrive around Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
But the different modelling patterns they use to predict the weather are still not certain how long it might last.
“Latest indications suggest a spell of rain in some places next Tuesday, but overall indications suggest a good deal of dry bright weather for Wednesday and Thursday,” said Met Eireann.
MeteoTimes.net – the irish online weather channel – says it will gradually get warmer and mostly dry with some chance of overnight showers late Monday night into the daytime hours of Tuesday mainly north of a Galway to Dundalk line, possibly becoming quite warm in the south during Tuesday and then in all regions later in the week with highs into the mid 20s.
“This warm spell may feature east winds and somewhat cooler readings near the east coast (18-21 C) and warmest weather in west Munster and Connacht (24-26 C). Some models are indicating a rather prolonged warm spell developing and it should be dry and sunny most of that time but details will emerge later.”
Fingers crossed!
