Seniors & Reserves
Our Seniors and Reserves played away to Naomh Brid on Saturday last. Congratulations to the Reserves on defeating their opponents by a margin of 6 points, Naomh Brid 0-6 Gaeil Fhànada 1-9, which now places them just a point behind the top spot with two games in hand. Hard luck to our Seniors who were narrowly defeated – Naomh Brid 1-11 Gaeil Fhánada 2-6.
This Saturday 24th both teams are at home (Pairc Uí Shiail) to St. Nauls. Reserves at 5.30pm and Seniors at 7.00pm. Best of luck to both teams!

There will be a Table Quiz this Friday 23rd August in the Fanad Lodge at 10pm in aid of Fhánada. Everyone welcome!
Under 6, 8 & 10s
Under 6, 8 and 10s Training this Friday the 23rd in Portsalon @ 6.30pm sharp. Don’t forget your gumshields, waterbottle and €2. Thanks to Senior Players Joe Blaney, Shaun Mc Govern, Oisin Shiels, Ephrim Mc Fadden and the two ladies Lisa Mc Conigley and Teresa Coll who coached the boys and girls last Friday the 16th. Also thanks to Martin who makes sure everything runs smoothly. Three more senior players are coming along this week to pass on their skills to the boys and girls. Word of thanks to Rachel and Edel who took the children’s individual photos. Those who missed out on the photos last week will have them taken over the next few weeks.
Under 10s
The Clubs Under 10s are travelling to St. Teresa’s GAA Club in Belfast on Saturday week the 31st to take part in the Annual Under 10 Blitz. Any parent wishing to travel on the bus is welcome to do so at a cost of €5. The bus will be leaving Fanavolty around 7am via Tamney, Rossnakill and Kerrykeel. Under 16s
Our under 16 Team built on last week’s victory against Cloughaneely with another good win over a physically strong Buncrana side in Portsalon on Monday evening by 0-12 to 1-06.
Fanad Band
Huge congratulations to the Fanad Band on becoming All-Ireland Champions. Well done to everyone involved from all at Gaeil Fhánada.
Scrap Saturday
Remember to gather up any scrap metal you may have laying around, as Gaeil Fhánada will hold another Scrap Saturday at the end of the summer.
