GAA NEWS: EIGHT FOUR MASTERS GIRLS IN COUNTY U-14 CAMOGIE TEAM

county camogie team u-14U12 Hurlers: Well done to the under 12 hurlers who defeated MacCumhaill’s on Thursday 22.08.13. This team, which is made up of players from Donegal Town, Glenties, Laghey, Mountcharles, Killybegs,and Bruckless, have won 4 of the 6 games played so far this year and have 4 games left to play. Also a big well done to Dylan Thomas, Leo Dunphy and Ciaran McGroary who represented the club at the All-County under 12 trip to Croke Park earlier this year.

Under 8’s: Under 8 footballers continue to meet on Monday evenings at Tirchonaill Park, 6.30pm-7.30pm. The training will continue until end of September.

Under 10’s: The Four Masters Under 10 footballers will travel to Robert Emmett’s GAA on Saturday 31st to play against the home team, Terman, Glenfin and Naomh Mhuire. Good luck to all the players.

Hurling/Camogie: Hurling and Camogie resumes on Friday, 6th September in Tirchonnail Park at 6-7pm for all children 10 and under and 7-8pm for all children over 10. We wish the U14 County Camogie team the very best of luck in their Championship match v Tyrone on Saturday; the team includes 8 players from the Four Masters Camogie – Niamh Doherty, Sarah Oates, Áine McGroarty, Áine Gillespie, Neasa Gorrell, Emer Burke, Hollie Roper and Leah O’Donnell. Very best of luck to all going back to school, to all the hurlers and camogs who started second level on Tuesday and to all changing classes.

Lotto: There was no winner of the Four Masters lotto draw this week. The two weekly winners of the €50 prize were Donna Dunnion, Ardara and Leo Colhoun, Drumrooske. The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 13 and 20. Next weeks draw stands at €1500. Please support the local Club by playing the weekly lotto. Four Masters Prize Draw: The Four Masters GAA prize draw which has a raft of incredible prizes is now into the last couple of weeks. All members including parents of juvenile members are reminded that sold tickets should be brought to the Abbey Hotel every Monday night between 9pm and 9.30pm.
