Dungloe earned the local bragging rights after defeating neighbours Naomh Muire in the All-County Division Two at the Banks yesterday. dungloe logo

Naomh Muire went into this game on the back of a fine run of form winning their last four matches and were confident of finally putting one over their local rivals Dungloe.

However it was the experience of Dungloe that got them over the line against a youthful Naomh Muire side.

With a strong wind dictating play goals were always going to be crucial in game were there was very little between the two sides.

It was Dungloe that got the goals through former county star Adrian Sweeney and Mark Clerkin.

The game finished –  Dungloe 2-09 Naomh Mhuire 0-09

The win now puts Dungloe right back in the mix for promotion while the defeat has dented Naomh Muire’s hopes of gaining promotion to Division One.
