Red Hughs Notes

Lotto & 100+ Club

There was no jackpot winning sequence in this weeks Lotto draw but Frances Callaghan, The Garrison won €30 in lucky dip.  red hughs

Numbers drawn were 5,8,4,2,6,3,1,7. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €2,950. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 7th September – Ollie Doherty, 14th September – Tommy McGlinchey, 21st September – Gerard McColgan and 28th September – Samuel Patterson.

The winner of the 100+ Club draw this week was Winnie Peoples, St Johnston who wins €100. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto & 100+ Club.

Seniors & Reserves

Hard luck to the seniors and reserves on their losses to Aodh Ruadh on Saturday evening. There are two league games to play for both sides – away to Naomh Brid and Naomh Colmcille.

There is not expected to be any fixtures next weekend.

Minor Board

Well done to the U12 girls that played in the blitz in Convoy on Saturday morning. The next blitz is on this Saturday the 7th September.

Well done to the minor girls on their performances against Convoy and Glenfin last week.

Well done to the Red Hughs U16 boys who reached the semi finals of The Jackie Noonan Tournament at the pitch on Sunday.

Well done to Convoy who were the overall winners defeating Glenfin in the final.

Club Gear Orders

Club gear that has been ordered will be given out at the clubhouse this week on Wednesday from 7.30 to 9.00pm and on Thursday from 8.30 to 9.30pm.

Any gear not paid for will have to be paid for on collection.

Melissa Hamilton Memorial 5K

The Melissa Hamilton 5K walk/run takes place this Sunday 8th September at 12.30pm starting from The Curragh.

Registration begins at the Red Hughs clubhouse at 11.00am at €5 per person. U12 girls cross border blitz will be held at the pitch starting at 2.30pm along with other fun activities.

All proceeds go to St Vincent de Paul and The Cochlear Implant Trust and all are welcome.

Red Hughs Golf Classic

There are only limited places left for the Red Hughs CLG Golf Classic on Saturday 21st September at Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club sponsored by Killygordon Animal Health.

If interested you need to enter now or will there be no places left! Teams of four of any combination, entry at €80 per team with both ladies and gents welcome.

There will be a selection of team prizes on the day with longest drive etc. All are welcome to come along and enjoy.

Airtricity Meentycat Walk

The club will be taking part in the Meentycat Sponsored 15k Walk again this year which takes place on Saturday 28th September.

Sponsorship cards are available from Liam Doherty (087) 6478122 or any member of executive.

Red Hughs Cycle Challenge

Red Hughs is holding a cross border cycle challenge on Sunday 15th September. Route starts at clubhouse and goes to Ballybofey, Barnes Gap, Castlederg via the Derg Line and back to the clubhouse with a total distance of approx 60km.

All are welcome to take part. Registration is €10 per cyclist and registration is at clubhouse at 9.00am with cycle beginning at 10.00am.
