Labour Party Cllr for Inishowen, Martin Farren, has said that he is extremely confident that good news is on the way for Greencastle Post Office. An Post

The Donegal county councillor says he understands a decision on the post office is imminent, and that it is strongly likely to result in a “positive outcome.”

“I have lobbied strongly on this issue – earlier in the month I met with representatives from An Post to express the concerns and wishes of the community that the Post Office in Greencastle must remain open.

“I have also worked closely with Minister Pat Rabbitte on this issue, and I commend him on his support for the campaign to keep Greencastle Post Office open for business.

“Along with dedicated members of the local community I have made the case that this vital local service must remain in place, and the threat of closure must be lifted. I am now confident that our representations will result in a positive outcome for the community of Greencastle.”
