GOLF NEWS – DUNFANAGHY AGM TAKES PLACES IN DECEMBER

Ryder Cup four person Team Event:

The winners of the October qualifiers for the Ryder Cup four person Team Event were from Ballybofey with a great score of 88pts and they are as follows:

Freddie Wilson, Tony Griffen, Freddie Stewart and John Mc Caughan.

Congratulations for qualifying for the Grand Final.

Make sure you try and qualify for the grand final in November. The playing conditions are excellent at present in Dunfanaghy.

Wednesday Open:

The Vice Captain, Gerald Dalton was successful on Wednesday last with a score of 40 pts. He won on a BOT from Johnny Connor with Gary Mc Clafferty third on 37pts. CSS 36pts. Gerald has featured in last few weeks and must have hit form.

 

Saturday 9th November 4BBB Stableford:

Kevin Rafferty and Ciaran Bradley were successful on Saturday with a score of 44pts BOT. In second place also on a score of 44pts was P Mc Clafferty and Hugh MAC Laifertaigh. CSS N.Q.

 

Just to let everyone know, all 4BBB competitions on Saturdays from now on will be stableford for the winter months.

Sunday 10th of November Monthly medal:

John Nee was successful in the monthly Medal on Sunday with a score of 63. In Second place was Thomas Alcorn with a 66BOT. Daniel Mc Colgan won the gross with a score of 71BOT. In third place was Keith Lapsley with a score of 66. CSS 67. Well done to everyone.

The AGM for the Men will be held on Saturday the 7th of December at 7pm in the Clubhouse. A notice will be going out to the members in the next few days.

The Gaeltacht match fixed for this weekend had to be called off due to Rosapenna having a difficulty with the date of this match. Dunfanaghy are now due to play Portsalon at home on the 30th of November and then play Roasapenna at home on the 7th of December. Gerald or Andy will be in touch in the next few weeks.

The clubhouse has been the venue for a number of private parties lately and is the perfect venue for anyone considering running a party in the future. The clubhouse is the perfect venue for 18th, 21st ,30th, 40th or any sort of party for your special occasions. Feel free to enquire in the clubhouse for any details surrounding holding a party at this venue.
