Our picture shows the jeep embedded in the front of the building which is next door to Buncrana Garda station on McCarter Road.

Details of how the incident occurred are still not clear yet.

There are reports that the jeep was seen traveling at high speed just shortly before the incident and may have been involved in a pursuit with Gardai.

It is not known at this stage is anyone has been hurt following the incident or if any arrests have yet been made.

Local Buncrana Town Councillor Ciaran McLaughlin told Donegal Daily he was shocked at what has happened.

“Like most others I’m not fully surely what happened. It’s shocking. I just hope that nobody was hurt,” he said.

Later local sources say Gardaí are now looking for three people who were in the vehicle before the crash.

It’s understood detectives already have suspects in the case.
