A young Co Donegal man killed in a tragic accident at a fish factory in Killybegs will be laid to rest today.kara

Kara McCole, from Inver, died following the accident at Sean Ward’s fish factory on Friday afternoon.

There has been a huge outpouring of grief in the local community where Kara, 21, lived at Cranny.

His funeral mass will take place at 2pm today at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Mountcharles.

Local county councillor John Campbell described the accident as “a terrible tragedy” and said Kara’s death still hasn’t sunk in for many people.

Kara is survived by his parents Bernadine and Donie and by his brother Brendan.

The family has very close ties to St Naul’s GAA Club where Kara’s dad Donie works with underage teams.

He will be laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
