GAA NEWS – NEW OFFICER BOARD APPOINTED AT GLENSWILLY

The club’s AGM took place on Saturday, January 11th, with a large crowd attending.Glenswilly GAA Club

The following officers were elected on the evening. Chairman-Mick Murphy, Vice-Chair Paddy McGinty, Secretary Sharon McGinty, Assistant Secretary Noel Scott, Treasurer Bryan Faul, Assistant Treasurer John McGinley & PRO Paul Gallagher.

Gary McDaid has been reappointed Senior Team Manager and he emphasised in his address that he wished to continue with the success achieved in 2013, Reserve Team Manager – Adrian Glackin, Third Team Manager Paddy McGinty and Under 21 Manager Cathal Gallagher.

The club would like to congratulae our three county men namely Michael, Neil and Gary for a successful away trip to Armagh on Sunday last and it was particularly nice to see Neil back in the county colours after a short injury lay off.

Lotto winning numbers for the week were 10,11,13 & 24 and the match three winner was Margaret Rose McGeehan. The jackpot now stands at €3,760. Next week sellers are Neil Gallagher and Gary McFadden.

Seamus Callaghan has been appointed the club’s Scor Officer so keep an eye on local news websites and the papers for upcoming events.

The next monthly meeting will be held in the clubhouse on January 27th at 9pm.
