Letterkenny athlete Mark English has recorded another impressive chapter in his athletics career by setting a new Irish indoor record.

English, running with UCD, set a new 800m record at the AAI Open Games.

The Letterkenny man set a record of 1.46.82.

He finished in second place to Kupers Holland.

Within the last few minutes Mark English running with UCD and of course from Letterkenny set a new irish indoor record in the 800 m at Aai open Games returning 1.46.82 finishing 2nd to Kupers Holland the mark also is a world Q standard for world indoors Sopot Poland next month
