TRIATHLON – LETTERKENNY 24/7 CLUB DOES WELL ON THE ROADS

On the racing front club members did well in the local 5K road races with three personal bests auguring well for the season ahead.

In the north west series won on the day and won overall by Gavin Crawford results and times were as follows.

In the national pool life saving championships in Limerick Triona McMenamin came away with two gold medals and two silver medals.

In the Lifford 5K results were as follows

22 Clint Doherty 18.58

51 Noel Lynch 21.06

Training continues during the week on Wednesday at eight coached swim (six lanes in Aura)

Track session thursday at eight (Danny Mc Daid running track) and cycle saturday leaving Aura at 9.30pm.

There will be a practice Duathlon in preparation for the National Series duathlon on sunday 23rd with sign on from 11.00 and start at 11.30. Anyone thinking of doing the main race is welcome to take part. Race entries are coming on well for both the Duathlon on the ninth of march and the pool based try a tri on the 27th of april. Both events can still be booked through the Triathlon Ireland website.

The junior section also have a training day on sunday between twelve and two at Aura.
