A DONEGAL man has finished an incredible 24-hour endurance race in second place – and in under 16 hours!
Sean McFadden is pictured with race winner Bill Wells from Canada and third placed Michael McCarron.
Sean came home in 15 hours, 36 minutes and 24 seconds. He was just over 14 minutes behind the winner and under two minutes ahead of McCarron.
The Race around County Donegal provided the ultimate single-day test for endurance athletes in Ireland with a 260km multi-sport (running, cycling, kayaking) event across the least hospitable terrain in Ireland.
Fancy trying it yourself? – Here’s the route….looks like a week’s worth to us!
