Community Election candidate Peter Cutliffe has slammed the local Labour Party for its belated call to make polling-clerk positions available to the unemployed.

Reacting to the party’s statement in today’s ‘Donegal Daily’, Cutliffe stated that it was a bit “late in the day” for the Labour Party candidate, Siobhan Mc Laughlin being ‘concerned ‘ about an issue he has raised for the past 3 years!

“I believe it is symptomatic of a party that is bereft of ideas and real policies to put our country back to work.

“And I believe that people will see this call by the Labour Party as a poor attempt to launch an election campaign,” Mr Cutliffe concluded.
