GAA NEWS – MEETING TO BE HELD TO REVIEW COACHING STRUCTURES AT GLENSWILLY

Both the Senior and Reserves had their first outing in Division One at home to Four Masters.Glenswilly GAA Club

The Seniors recorded a fine victory of 9 points to 7, while the reserves lost to a strong Four Masters team .

The Minors came out on top in their home clash to near neighbours St. Eunans with a scoreline of 2-4 to 5 points. The under 14s were away to Letterkenny Gaels on Sunday morning last but unfortunately the result was in Gaels favour.

Club Donegal tickets are now available at a reduced price of €120. This allows entry into any club game in the county for 2014. Anyone interested should contact the Treasurers on 086 7887774.

Club Registration is now coming to a close so if you have not registered the final opportunity to do so is Thursday the 27th at the club house from 7-8.30pm. We have been told that registration will not be allowed after this date. So please make sure you avail of this final opportunity. If you have any queries regarding same please contact Thomas Simmons on 0872063018.

As you are aware anyone involved in underage teams must go through the Garda Vetting process therefore if you have any queries regarding the process please contact George Simmons on 0877789804.

Ger O’ Connor will be at the club this Friday the 28th at 7pm. Where he will be reviewing the coaching structures throughout the club. All coaches who attended his first meeting and any new coaches who wish to attend are asked to come along on Friday.

Winning numbers on this weeks lotto are: 2, 7, 13, 16. Match three winner was Mary Mc Daid, Foxhall. The jackpot now stands at an impressive €4120.00. Next weeks sellers are; Brendan Walshe, and Paddy Mc Fadden.

Anyone with keys belonging to the club, are asked to contact to Paul Lapsley, as he wishes to make a new record of key holders.

Finally, we would like to congratulate all the boys and girls who were confirmed on Sunday last, and best of luck to the boys and girls from Stramore National School who will be confirmed this Saturday the 29th.
