GAA NEWS: BUNCRANA MINOR HURLERS HAVE GOOD LEAGUE WIN OVER NEIGHBOURS BURT

Congratulations Judy Doherty from Inch who won the €500 in our first monthly draw. When the Jackpot is not won, all lotto entries from each week are entered into the monthly draw. Thanks to An Tuatha Nua Bar who sponsored our Lotto envelopes. Members from the men’s senior team are selling lotto’s on Saturday nights for the month of March. Lotto sellers needed for local estates, if you have an hour free each week to sell the lotto in your local estate and help raise funds for the club, contact the club treasurer on 0870297444. Support packs are available for anyone who is willing to help.

U14 Hurlers A big Thank You to everyone that supported the car wash and coffee morning on Saturday and also to the U14 hurling teams parents, players and sponsors that made it all happen…GREAT TEAM WORK

U14 Buncrana A had 2 good wins this week against Termon and glenswilly. Still unbeaten this season.

U14 Buncrana B lost at home to Burt but battled and played to the end.

U14 fixtures this week;

Buncrana B vs urris@6.30 (players to report to the scarvey for 5.30)

McCools vs Buncrana A@6.30 (players to report to the scarvey for 5)

 

Minor Hurlers The minor hurlers opened their league campaign with a comprehensive home win over neighbours Burt, most pleasing to the management was the attitute of the players to the match as they were on top from the throw in, with a tight defense and no less than 10 different scorers throughtout the match.This side has a large panel to select from and competition will be tight for places on this young side. Training for senior and minor hurlers is Wednesday at 7pm sharp.

 

U6 and U8 Football have now moved outside to Scarvey on a Friday night from 6.30pm – 7.30pm

 

Seniors, Minors, Hurling training is on this week, Wednesday 7.00pm Sharp. All players are urged to make every effort to attend. Our minor hurlers will also start there league campaign this Thursday night in the Scarvey against neighbours Burt. All support welcome

Senior, Reserves, U-18, & U21 Football training is on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7.30 in Scarvey. All players are asked to turn up as the new season is coming near. New players welcome too!

Senior Ladies training every Wednesday at 7.30 in Scarvey. New members always welcome.

Parish League Well done to the ‘inishowen gaints’ who won the parish league cup on thursday. Also well done to the ‘brave hurls’ who won the parish league shield on tuesday…Great skills and fun was displayed by all over the last few weeks.

A big thank you must go to Bronagh, Tommy, Derek, Lawerence and all the transition students for making the parish leagues such a big success.

 

Easter Camp. Registration for the u14/u16 easter camp on 15th/16th and 17th of april is taking place…please contact your manager for details.

 

Membership registration Please note if you or your child is a player/coach you must pay membership for insurance purposes. If you wish to be considered for ticket allocation for the All Ireland series of matches your membership must be paid by 25th March.

NB:- Membership does not guarantee match tickets and only adult members can be considered for ticket allocation.
