DONEGAL Ladies U14s took to the field at St Mary’s in Convoy on Saturday, most making their competitive debut for their county.

And for most of the game against Antrim it looked like it could be a winning debut.

But it wasn’t to be.

Donegal led 2-07 to 2-04 at half-time but would later rue many missed opportunities in the first half when Antrim scored goals late on to win 5-09 to 2-10.

Next Sunday it’s a trip to Down for the girls.
