On a busy weekend of racing Thursday saw the Letterkenny Athletics /saint eunans Gaa five mile road race won by Gavin Crawford . A lot of club members took part in the thursday time trial instead apart from Gavin Harris who unsurprisingly did both. On saturday the glen duathlon took place with also a good turnout form the club.
Also on Saturday Aidan Callaghan ran a ten k in roscommon running a pb of 34.12 and finishing fourth. In Ballyliffen three club members also took part in the ten mile road race.
The weekend finished with the three k road race hosted by Letterkenny athletics Club.
The big event next weekend is the club try a tri which is a 400 metre swim 13.5k cycle and 3.2 k run startin from Aura at ten thirty . All club members not taking part are asked to attend at nine thirty as there will be quite a demand for stewarding at various points around the course.
Over 120 athletes have entered with the majority being from outside donegal so this represents an excellent opportunity for the club to showcase the event of triathlons and also the excellent sporting facilities available at our main race sponsor Aura.
