Termon power on to 5th Title on the trot by James Trearty
Termon overcome a brave Glenfin to lift the Donegal Senior Ladies title for fifth time at Naomh Mhuire GAA grounds today.
Termon who fielded without the influential Yankie Friel sisters were on the back foot for long periods after a disastrous 5th minute goal. Glenfin who opened smartly were pressing when a speculative wind assisted lob from all of 50 meters by Yvonne Mc Monagle deceived the Termon custodian Lara Gallagher to end in the back of the net courtesy of the upright and crossbar.
Termon responded and went into the break one point down.
But a resilient Glenfin held firm and with the experienced Geraldine Mc Laughlin not at full fitness Termon looked to relinquish the RTE Radio Na Gaeltachta crown.
But Termon responded and with the Maureen o Donnell playing a pivotal role Termon went on to claim another title to a score of Termon 4–11 Glenfinn 2–9
