Buncrana Cllr Ciaran McLaughlin has raised concerns over traffic lights at Kearneys pass, Cockhill.
He said “When the lights are red, some motorists are driving through without stopping. Listening to the concerns of local residents at the doors, they are saying that an accident is not far away and if drivers don’t have a little patience or stop, when the lights are red then we could have a serious collision at Kearneys pass.”
The Sinn Fein councillor added that long ago these same lights were not functioning properly at all.
“The red lights took an age to change but I am calling on all motorists to have paitence and stop at the junction when the lights are red and in so to prevent a serious accident,” he added.
