There was no fairytale for Ulster Senior League champions Cockhill Celtic in tonight’s FAI Cup.

Donal O’Brien’s team put up a great performance but lost 4-2 against last seasons cup finalists, Drogheda United.

Declan O’Brien put the Premier Division side ahead before Gerry Gill equalised from the penalty spot for the Inishowen men.

Cockhill were in dreamland when Gerard McLaughlin put Cockhill 2-1 up at the start of the second half.

But the Louth team showed their experience with Declan O’Brien netting two before Gavan Holohan added another to make it 4-2 on the night.
