Shaun Mc Shane was involved in a titanic struggle with English fighter John Green.

In what was a cracking fight from start to finish, neither boxer took control of the fight, and instead both fighters traded punches throughout the contest.

Mc Shane was cheered on by a large and boisterous number of fans who were out in force to support the popular Rosses pugilist.

The large crowd in attendance got full value for their money, in what was an utterly absorbing contest.

In the end up there was nothing to choose between the two fighters and the final decision was a draw.

Although many in the crowd felt Mc Shane had narrowly shaded the contest.

Mc Shane posted on his Facebook timeline, “Well people that was a great war, 4×3 toe to toe.

“Ref scored it 38/38 a draw, I did knick it by a round, but you know what no one lost in that fight because we fought our hearts out.

“Fair play to my opponent John Green, a tough cookie.

“Wee break now thank god, and thanks to all who came and supported me, very much appreciated.
