The home team got on the score sheet after nine minutes with a point and a minute later a high ball into the box was punched to the net by corner forward Corey Gallagher.

They stretched the lead further with another point from Brendan O Brien.

It was the visitors who upped the tempo from there until the break and at half time it was all square 0-6 to 1-3.

The Reds started the second half strongly and carved out a four point lead after 5 minutes with a point and another goal this time from Micheal Mc Menamin.

The Glen men again upped the tempo and scored five unanswered points to go one up. The Cross lads drew level with a pointed free and shortly after were denied what looked like a stone wall penalty that wasn’t given by veteran referee Trearty.

The visitors tagged on another two points to win the match on a scoreline of 0-14 to 2-6

Division 3
The visitors opened the scoring going a point up after five minutes but it was quickly cancelled out with a point from Marty Bonner.

The Glen men again went in front before Ryan Kelly equalised after 11 minutes. Bonner put the home side one up after 15 minutes and Colm Melaugh put the Reds two up a minute later.

The home side wasted a lot of chances with six wides after 15 minutes. The Glen men got another score after before Bonner scored another and Eugene Brown tapped number 6 over for the Home side.

Naomh Columba scored another in injury time to leave the half time score Red Hughs 0-6 Naomh Columba 0-4

The Visitors opened the scoring in the second half with a point in the first minute that was cancelled out in the second minute by Damien Brown.

The Glen men scored another two points by the sixth minute putting them on level terms.

The score that turned the game in the visitors favour was a goal in the tenth minute of the second half after hesitation in the Red Hughs back line seen the ball ending up in the net.

The visitors powered to victory there after out scoring the home side by 1-7 to 0-1 in the second half.
