SUPER MARK ENGLISH TAKES EUROPEAN GOLD TO HELP IRELAND TO 7TH

Mark EnglishDONEGAL’S Mark English took gold at the European Team Championships in Tallin, Estonia, to help Ireland to a 7th placed finish today.

The team finish matches Ireland’s finish last year – and were best in the track sports out of all 12 countries taking party.

English won the 800m in style, whilst Thomas Barr won the 400m Hurdles, Brian Gregan took the 400m and Paul Robinson landed the 1,500m gold.

Fionnuala Britton took silver in the 5000m.
