GAA NEWS: LETTERKENNY GAELS HELD BY NAOMH ULTAN

Our Senior and Reserves had mixed results at the weekend away to Naomh Ultan.

The Senior lads played out a draw with the game finishing 1-11 a-piece while the Reserves were beat on a score line of 2-09 to 0-11.

This weekend sees the start of the Junior A & B Championships with the Senior lads in action against Noamh Padraig Uisce Chaoin at Pairc na nGael on Saturday evening and the Junior B lads travelling to Pettigo on Sunday.

See Facebook for throw in times. Training continues at Pairc na nGael every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. New players always welcome.

The U-14 team travelled to Owen Beg in Dungiven last weekend to play in the Ulster Feile and while they toped their group in the early stages they eventually lost out in the quarter final.

The lads play Robert Emmetts this Friday evening in Mc Cool Park in the Northern Board Championship Division 2 Final.

The U-18 team were well beaten in their first match in the Division 1 Championship by a strong St. Eunans team on Monday evening at Pairc na nGael.

They now play Burt in their next match. Date & time T.B.C.

This coming week sees the start of our Summer Camps and Academys at Pairc na nGael with Hurling being the first.

It runs from the 7th-11th of July from 10am-2.30pm each day. For more information contact, 085 1743228.

Well done to Aaron Bradley, former Letterkenny Gaels player, who played for London last week in the All Ireland Qualifier against Limerick.

Aaron is the first club member to play Senior Inter-County Championship football.

U-6 & U10 Football continues every Sunday morning at 11am at Pairc na nGael while the U-8’s is on both Sunday morning & Wednesday evening from 7-8pm.

We are currently looking for girls aged 9-12 to join our U-12 Gaelic football squad.

Training on Wednesday evening from 6.30-7.30pm Contact Jim Farrell on 086 0566893 for more details.

Camogie training continues every Tuesday evening at Pairc na nGael from 6-7pm for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th class. 5th, 6th class & Secondary school on Monday evening 6-7.30pm at Pairc na nGael. Contact 086 8163605 for information.

New players welcome.

Our U-16 lads were beaten by a strong Mc Cools team.

This Friday they play Glenfin.

U-16 training continues at Pairc na nGael every Wednesday & Friday at 5.30pm.

Our U-8 & U-10 Hurlers travelled to Convoy last weekend for a Blitz.

Hurling training for U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 continues at the pitch every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm.

Hurleys and helmets provided for training.

The lotto numbers for weekending 30th June were 5,11,18 & 26. No Jackpot winner. Match 3 winner will be announced next week.

Next weeks jackpot will be €2900.
