GAA NEWS: LETTERKENNY GAELS FACE MOVILLE IN CHAMPIONSHIP CLASH THIS WEEKEND

The Junior A & B Championships were played last weekend with the Senior lads claiming a good home victory over Naomh Padraig Muff and the Junior B team losing away to Pettigo in the 1st round 1st leg of their Championship.

The Senior team travel to Moville on Saturday evening for their next Championship game with the throw in at 7.30 while the return leg of the Junior B will be played at Pairc na nGael on the 18th July.

Training continues at Pairc na nGael every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.

New players always welcome.

 

 

 

The U-14 team won the Division 2 Northern Board Final last week against Robert Emmetts. Well done lads on claiming your second piece of silverware this season. The lads are through to the All County Championship semi-final where they will play either Kilcar or Naomh Brid this Saturday with time and venue to be confirmed.

 

 

Our Minor lads are due to play Burt in the next Championship match which will probably be next week. See Facebook for updates on date/time.

 

 

U-6 & U10 Football continues every Sunday morning at 11am at Pairc na nGael while the U-8’s is on both Sunday morning & Wednesday evening from 7-8pm.

 

 

Well done to all our U-10 squad who hosted a great blitz at Pairc na nGael on Saturday. Thanks to visiting clubs Robert Emmetts, Buncrana & Convoy for helping to make an enjoyable morning of football & fun.

 

 

 

We are currently looking for girls aged 9-12 to join our U-12 Gaelic Football squad. Training on Wednesday evening from 6.30-7.30pm Contact Jim Farrell on 086 0566893 for more details.

 

 

 

Letterkenny Gaels Camogie Crew are holding a 3 day Summer Camp at the pitch from next Wednesday 16th July to Friday 18th July for girls 7 or older. Contact Aideen on 086 8163605 for more details.

Camogie training continues every Tuesday evening at Pairc na nGael from 6-7pm for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th class. 5th, 6th class & Secondary school on Monday evening 6-7.30pm at Pairc na nGael. Contact 086 8163605 for information. New players welcome.

 

 

 

The U-16 team were defeated by 4 points against Glenfin. They now have a few catch-up games to play in the coming weeks. See Facebook for more details.

U-16 training continues at Pairc na nGael every Wednesday & Friday at 5.30pm.

 

The U-12 Hurlers had a good victory over Four Masters on Thursday evening.

Next up they have a tough encounter with Gaoth Dobhair.

 

 

Hurling training for U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 continues at the pitch every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. Hurley’s and helmets provided for training.

 

 

This weeks lotto numbers were 7, 9, 12 & 19. No Jackpot winner. Match 3 winner is Jim Mc Glynn, Friends of the Gaels. Next week’s jackpot will be €2950.
