DONEGAL boxer Jason Quigley has thanked his family and his dad after his whirlwind start to his professional boxing career.

Jason won his first bout in Las Vegas last night with a first round technical knock-out after just 82 seconds of the first round.

It was an astonishing performance against American Howard Reece, with US sports pundits predicting a wonderful professional career ahead for the Ballybofey man.

“I am absolutely buzzing,” said Jason today.

“I couldn’t have asked for better start to my professional career with a first round TKO.

“I would like to thank my father and coach and my team for all the work we did preparing for this fight and to Golden Boy for giving me the best stage in the world to show what I have – the MGM Grand Las Vegas.

“I want to say a big ‘thank you’ to my management team SheerSportMGMT and all my fans who travelled to Vegas to watch me and everybody at home for the support.

“It has been amazing, thank you.”

No – thank YOU!
