LETTERKENNY GAELSLetterkenny Gaels GAA Notes

Our Senior lads had a good win over Naomh Padraig Lifford in group 2 of the Junior A Championship on Saturday evening last.

They play Naomh Mhuire Convoy this Saturday evening at 7.30 at Pairc na nGael. Our second teams Junior B Championship came to an end on Friday last when they fell to Pettigo in their 2nd game. Training continues at Pairc na nGael every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. New players always welcome.

The U-14 team finished their season at the weekend with a defeat to Robert Emmetts in the Championship County Final. Hard luck to all involved-you can look back at a great season overall. We wish Ronan Frain a speedy recovery after his injury at the end of the match.

The U-10 footballers attended a well organised blitz at Glenswilly last weekend. Thanks to the Glenswilly club for organising and to all the parents and supporters for coming along.

Our Kellogs Cul Camp for 5-13 year olds is starting next Monday 28th July. You can book online at www.kelloggsculcamp.com or call Oisin 0867325955 or John at 0868561768 for further details. This is a very enjoyable week of GAA activity for the children.

U-6 & U10 Football continues every Sunday morning at 11am at Pairc na nGael while the U-8’s is on both Sunday morning & Wednesday evening from 7-8pm.

Last week the club hosted a very successful Camogie Crew where all involved enjoyed 3 days of Camogie & fun at Pairc na nGael. Girls aged from 6-13 improved and learned new skills under expert advice from our coaches. The County Camogie Development Officer, Lisa McAliskey, spent one of the days with the girls and demonstrated some excellent games & skills. Thanks to all the girls who took part for their enthusiasm and to our coaches for their support & help. Special word of thanks also goes to Aideen Quinn for organising.

Well done to both Donegal teams on Sunday in the Ulster Final especially to Oisin Cannon and the Minor lads.

We are currently looking for girls aged 9-12 to join our U-12 Gaelic Football squad. Training on Wednesday evening from 6.30-7.30pm Contact Jim Farrell on 086 0566893 for more details.
