TG4 TO SHOW DONEGAL’S ALL-IRELAND GLORY BID AGAINST KERRY

Donegal ladies seniorsTG4 Ladies Senior Football Championship Round 2 Qualifier

Monday 4 August – Donegal v Kerry, Birr, 4pm – Live TG4

Donegal’s Senior Ladies are hoping to cause a huge upset when they travel to Birr on Monday for the Round 2 All-Ireland Qualifier.

Davy McLaughlin’s team has shown huge improvement in recent months as the Moville man looks to put our Ladies fortunes on an upward curve.

Kerry are overwhelming favourites to progress; one bookmaker in Tralee has apparently offered odds of 14/1 for Donegal to win!

But Donegal aren’t going to Offaly to make up the numbers and despite losing to eventual Ulster champions Armagh in the provincial championship, they showed enough improvement to worry Kerry.

And the Munster women, despite being in the top ranks of the Ladies game, were hammered by Cork in their provincial decider and must surely have weak points.

Donegal can welcome back Therese McCafferty and Roisin Friel to the squad too, giving McLaughlin something of a selection headache – not a bad complaint to have in August.

If the Donegal defence can cope with the two time All Star winners Louise Ní Muircheartaigh and Sarah Houlihan, and our players shine on the day, this might just be a good day for the Tir Chonaill girls.

Get down and support them if you can – if you can’t, it’s on TG4 live.
