SOCCER NEWS: LAGAN LADIES REMAIN UNBEATEN WITH SUPER VICTORY OVER BONAGEE UNITED

Lagan Harps Ladies team continued their good start to the season with an excellent 5-1 win over Bonagee United.

Lagan Harps Ladies team continued their good start to the season with an excellent 5-1 win over Bonagee United.

Lagan Harps FC Notices

Our ladies team continued their unbeaten league run with a 5-1 win over Bonagee Utd. Our second team drew 1-1 with Fanad Utd.

Our u/12 and u/9 girls took part in the recent blitz. Our u/12’s lost 4-1 to Glenree with Rihanna Devenney scoring.

They lost Kilmacrennan 3-2 with Shannon Cunningham scoring.

They beat Illistrin with Holly Canning, Shannon Cunningham and Rihanna Devenney scoring. Our best players on the day were Clodagh and Maura Sweeney.

Our u/9’s beat Glenree 1-0 (Orla Doherty), Finn Valley 4-1 (Orla Doherty, Aoife Sweeney, Erin Doherty and Niamh Sweeney), Swilly 2-1 (Ishea Kelly, Erin Doherty) and drew 2-2 with Illistrin (Erin Doherty, Niamh Sweeney).

Our best on the day were Sophie Canning and Amy Doherty. In our weekly lotto the numbers drawn were 6,20,21 and 23.

Nine people had two numbers with Anastasia Roche drawn out and winning E50.

The club wishes to extend sympathy to the families of the late Tommy Friel (Rathmullen) and Raymond O’Donnell.

Raymond was well known to our club with his long association with Illistrin schoolboys.
