ENGLISH EASES HIS WAY INTO THE SEMI-FINAL OF THE 800 METRES EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Mark English eased through to the semi-finals of the 800 metres at the European Track and Field Championships in Zurich this evening.

The Letterkenny athlete won his heat in the a time of 1min 47.38secs to qualify for tomorrow night’s semi-final in Switzerland.

The Donegal runner is expected to make it through to the final of the event with high hopes that he may medal at the event.

English said after the race “I’ve never felt that good. Out of six gears, I was in fourth or fifth. I had a lot left. It’s all up for grabs now.”
