GAA NEWS: LETTERKENNY GAELS U16 HURLERS EARN GOOD WIN OVER SETANTA

Club Members looking for tickets for the Minor & Senior All Ireland Semi-Finals are asked to text their orders to Jim McGlynn at 086 2271435 by 6pm on or before Tuesday 19th August. Prices-Juvenile €5, Student/OAP €30, Adult €40.

Our Senior team are back in action this Saturday evening when they welcome Na Rossa to Pairc na nGael. See Facebook for throw in time. Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm. New players always welcome.

Our U-21 lads were in action on Tuesday evening last when they played away in the 1st round of the “A” Championship against Aodh Ruadh. Unfortunately the lads lost out on the night to a strong Ballyshannon side.

There is an U-8 blitz at 11am this Saturday at the pitch.

U-6 & U-10 Football continues every Sunday morning at 11am at Pairc na nGael while the U-8’s is on both Sunday morning & Wednesday evening from 7-8pm.

The U-12 Camogie girls travelled to Clones to take part in Caman to Clones regional blitz. The girls had a great day playing teams from Derry Down and Louth. Thanks to coaches and parents who supported the girls on a very enjoyable day of Camogie.

Training continues every Tuesday evening at Pairc nanGael from 6-7pm for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th class. 5th, 6th class & Secondary school on Monday evening 6-7.30pm at Pairc na nGael. Contact 086 8163605 for information. New

players welcome.

The U-16 Hurlers had a good 2 point win over Setanta last Thursday. This competitive game could of went either way with great Hurling on display from both teams.

They then played Burt in the semi-final on Tuesday evening and recorded a good victory which now sees them play next week in the Final.

The club was represented on the County U-15 Hurling development squad last Saturday by Donal McCormack, Cathair Doherty, Daithi Harvey, Peter O’Donnell, and Rory Boyce.

Hurling training for U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 continues at the pitch every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm.

Hurley’s and helmets provided for training.
