Tir Chonaill Gaels PicTir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes:

County Final:

This Sunday our senior team make the short journey to Ruislip to compete in the championship final for the third year in succession.

After last years disappointment the Gaels will be hoping to make amends with a battle against old foes Fulham Irish in what is sure to be a close affair.

The game is starting at the later time of 5-30pm to allow everyone the opportunity to watch the All-Ireland semi final between Donegal and Dublin which takes place at 3-30pm on TV. The club kindly asks all of our members to come out in force as we attempt to reclaim the title last won in 2012, and for all of our past players and members living further a field you can watch the game live on the Irish channel on Sky191.

Juniors:

Our junior team bowed out of the championship last Saturday after another close affair with Thomas McCurtains in the semi final replay at Ruislip.

Leading at the break by 0-6 to 0-5 against the breeze the young guns gave themselves every chance but the old saying is that goals win games.

Two quick goals from the opposition midway through the 2nd half turned the game on its head, even though we responded with a Killian Butler goal it was not to be our day.

The club would like to thank the team and management for their efforts throughout the season and hope they winter well to make a charge for next season.

Final score TCG 1-10 TMC 2-10

(late post, Fixture Sat 30th August @ G’ford 3pm, Home Grown Competition, TCG v Round Towers.

You can catch the Donegal v Dublin game on the big screens provided on the day and if you can’t make the county final why not watch it on TV at Greenford.
