GAA NEWS: RED HUGHS EXIT JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP AFTER DEFEAT BY CONVOY

Senior men

The senior men crashed out of the championship on Saturday evening in O’ Donnell Park to neighbours Convoy.

It was a really disappointing result for everyone involved.

The team now will have to regroup and focus on their remaining league matches to try and consolidate their division 3 status.

They now play Burt on Thursday evening at home Throw in 7pm and then away to Aodh Rua Ballyshannon on Saturday evening throw in 7.30pm

Under 21’s

The under 21 lads now play Naomh Columba in the semi final of the under 21 b championship next Tuesday the 2nd of September venue and time T.B.C. Good luck to the lads and management.

Minor Board

Under 13 boys

Red Hughs under 13 boys were unlucky to lose by a single point at the Cross to Glenfin. In a game that seen both teams dominate for long periods at a time. Final Score 4-6 to 3-10.

The girls are playing Letterkenny Gaels at home this Tuesday

Golf Classic

Our Annual Golf Classic takes place on September 13th in B&S Golf Club. We would like to thank Killygordon Animal Health as main sponsor of the event.

We are looking for €100 sponsors who will be displayed on board on entrance to course and also tee sponsors at €20 each or €50 for 3.

Teams of 4 are €80 with each player getting a €5 meal voucher for golf club. Contact Andy 0876843311 or any of the club executive.

Congratulations to Marie Mc Colgan & Maurice O Donnell who completed the Letterkenny half marathon and any other club member we may not have heard about. Well done all.

Melissa Hamilton Memorial 5k

Mellissa’s funday & 5k run/walk will take place on Sunday the 7th of September. Full details will be in next weeks notes.

Good Luck

The club would like to wish Stephen Mc Menamin and the county minor team the best of luck in their All Ireland semi final on Sunday in Croke Park and of course Jimmy and the boys.

Sympathy

The club extends their sympathy to the Carlin family Ballinacor and the Gallagher family Cavan Lower on their recent bereavements.

Semi final Tickets

The tickets for Sunday’s big games will be given out at the club house on Wednesday evening at 8.30pm All tickets must be paid for on collection.

Club Meeting

A very important club meeting will held on Wednesday evening at 9pm all executive club members are asked to attend. All club members welcome.
