Well done to the Óg Sport Gael (U15) team that won the Co. Finals on Saturday hosted by the Gaels. The lads beat Buncrana and then had a titanic battle with Ardara, two second half goals sealing the win before they defeated Kilcar in the Final by 3-03 to 0-05.

They will now represent Donegal in Ulster on Saturday week, Sept. 6th and we will host the finals this year as holders of the Ulster title.

The U16 Boys footballers captured the Northern League title against St. Michael’s on Monday night and they will take on Aodh Ruadh, BS in the county semi-finals. They also begin their championship campaign this Friday with a home game against St. Mary’s, Convoy, throw-in at 7pm.

The U13 Girls footballers train this Thursday at 6pm to 7pm. The League campaign begins with a home match against Convoy next Monday (September 1) with a 6.30pm throw-in. Players to be at O’Donnell Park at 6pm.

The U16 Girls footballers train this Wednesday from 7pm to 8.15pm. The team take on Moville next Tuesday (2nd Sept.) with the winner having a home game in the semi-finals of the championship.

The Senior Hurlers lost by a single point to MacCumhaills in the championship last Saturday night and their final round robin game is against Aodh Ruadh, BS with date and time tbc.

The U21 footballers are at home to Aodh Ruadh, BS in the championship q-final next Tuesday (2nd Sept.) with throw-in at 7pm.

The U16 hurlers despite a good performance were beaten by Buncrana in their League Final. They now prepare for the semi-final of the Championship at home to MacCumhaills on Thursday the 11th of September. The U12 Hurlers had a good win at home to Dungloe. They are at home to Aodh Ruadh, BS this Thursday.

The U13 Dev. team travel to Malin this Wednesday and the Div. team have no game this week.

An U12 squad under Anthony Farren, Danny O’Donnell and Eunan Walsh travelled to Strabane last Saturday and competed very well, winning the Shield competition and losing out to a good Termon team in extra-time in the Cup competition. Thanks to the parents for their support.

There is no Sunday Academy this week due to the Donegal games in Croke Park.

This Saturday we host the Gary Doyle Cup (U11) in O’Donnell Park with some very good teams coming to compete: Crossmaglen Rangers, St. Colmcilles (Meath), Donaghmore (Tyrone), Desertmartin (Derry), Glenswilly, Milford, Buncrana and O’Donovan Rossa (Magherafelt, Derry). It gets underway at 11am so come on out and take a look at the stars of the future.

Best wishes to all our players playing for the Donegal Minors and Seniors in Croke Park on Sunday. The Minor match will be screened live on TG4.
