GAA NEWS: LETTERKENNY GAELS U16’S EARN EXCELLENT CHAMPIONSHIP WIN OVER MALIN

Letterkenny Gaels Club News

Well done to both Donegal teams on their great victories over Dublin in the All Ireland Semi-Finals. Information on Applications for Tickets for the All Ireland Football Finals will be posted on Club Website and Facebook in the coming days. LETTERKENNY GAELS

Our Senior men have 2 remaining league games which will be played in the coming weeks. Training continues every Tuesday & Thursday evening at the pitch. New members always welcome.

Our annual Family Fun Day takes place this Sunday at Pairc na nGael. The fun begins at 12.30pm. See Facebook for further information and details.

We will be holding a Night at the Races on 26th of September in the Arena 7. See Facebook for more details.

Lotto numbers for week ending 31st August were 7, 8, 22 & 23. No jackpot winner. Lucky dip match 2 winner was Suzanne Kennedy, Friends of the Gaels. Next weeks jackpot will be €3300.

Congratulations to Brian Diver, Donal McCormack, Shay Doherty, Peadar Conaghan, Daithi Harvey, Rory Boyce, Padraig Sweeney & Rory Quinn who represented the Club & County at the U-16 All Ireland Hurling blitz in Newry at the weekend.

The U-13 lads were defeated by St. Mary’s, Convoy on Wednesday evening and are at home this week to Glenswilly.

There will be no underage training this Sunday morning due to the Family Fun Day. U-8’s & U-10’s training continues on Wednesday evening from 7-8pm.

Camogie training continues every Tuesday evening at Pairc na nGael from 6-7pm for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th class. 5th, 6th class & Secondary school on Monday evening 6-7.30pm at Pairc na nGael. Contact 086 8163605 for information. New players welcome.

Hurling training for U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 continues at the pitch every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. Hurley’s and helmets provided for training.

The U-16 girls lost by 3 points to Red Hughs last Friday evening. U-14 & U-16 girls football training continues every Wednesday evening at the pitch. Contact Jim Farrell for more details on 086 056 6893

The U-16 lads had a good victory over Malin in the Championship on Friday past. Next up they welcome Cloughaneely to Pairc na nGael. Training is on every Monday, Wednesday & Friday evening at 4pm.
