finn harps logoFinn Harps U19’s were defeated by local rivals Derry City at Finn Park last night in the Northern Section of the U19 league.

Harps battled gamely throughout, and performed well throughout the ninety minutes, but lacked that cutting edge in the final third of the pitch.

The majority of the Derry City U19 side were part of the Derry City USL squad that came very close to winning the title.

That experience showed with two clinical finishes from Ronan Curtis and Georgie Kelly ensuring the Brandywell outfit secured all three points.

However, manager Niall McGonagle will no doubt take a number of positives from the game, as Harps had number of impressive performers on show.
