With sunshine, clear skies and calm seas promised for the weekend, dozens of Rock n Roamers are heading to Tory Island for an unforgettable cultural adventure designed and hosted by local tourism enterprise mng.ie.Layout 1

And there is still time to book…..

You’ve heard all the stories but now it’s time to experience this very special island for yourself.

This very special weekend package will ensure you get to experience the very best of Tory.

Starting with a guided star gazing night walk tonight followed by a very special gathering of musicians for an Irish Traditional seisúin like no other.

Tomorrow, Saturday, learn about the legendary Colmcille with a guided walk to the many archaeological sites as well as workshops in Sean Nós and set dancing.

That night, there will be an unforgettable Ceilí Mór – what Tory is famous for and on Sunday winkle picking with the King himself.

There was never a better time to visit this magical island, immerse yourself in the culture and practise your “cupla focal”. It promises to be an unforgettable experience, with plenty of free time to relax and take it all in.

“A dance with the king is best described as a fair ground ride, you just follow his lead and he makes you feel like you can really dance, amazing feeling” (Moira, mng.ie)

The weekend package includes two nights shared B&B in Tory Hostel return boat trip, all the activities, guides and entertainment.

You just never know who you’ll meet on Tory.

Leaving Magheraroarty pier on the 12th September and returning on the 14th at 4.30pm. Please note the 7.30pm boat is full. 5pm available. Places are limited, early booking is advised.
