GAA NEWS: RED HUGHS SENIOR LADIES EARN EXCELLENT WIN OVER CONVOY

Senior Ladies​

The girls played Convoy on Thursday evening last in the second leg of the championship. They ran out easy winners against a very under strength Convoy.

Fair play to the Convoy ladies for fulfilling the fixture. Training this week on Tuesday & Thursday at 7pm

Under 13 Girls

U13s girls played Glenswilly at home on Friday.This group of young girls never give up and kept going to the whistle in every match this year and this evening was different. It was a great performance by all the girls, great defending and attacking play. The match was full of goals with 11 in total with darkness falling in the second half full credit to both teams for a great game of football. Final Score Red hughs 6-3 Glenswilly 5-6

Under 13 Boys

The lads travelled to Urris last Wednesday evening. They suffered defeat against a much stronger Urris side. But to their credit the young lads never gave up until the final whistle. The final score was Red Hughs 1-8 Urris 5-18 They have no game this Wednesday. Training continues on Friday evenings at 6.30pm

Minor Boys

Training for the minor boys on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 7.30pm. Everyone must attend as the championship will be resuming shortly.

Congratulations​

Congratulation to Stephen on getting his place in the starting line up in the All Ireland Minor Final on Sunday.

It was a proud day for the club and Stephen’s family. Unfortunately the results on the day did not go our way.

But one thing is for sure we will be back.

Airtricity Walk

This years Airtricity Walk at Meentycat Wind Farm will take place on Saturday the 27th of September. Sponsor cards are available form Liam Doherty 086 0224297 Support your club while walking in a very scenic part of the County. Start time 9.30 last walker leaves at 12 noon
