GAA NEWS: URRIS FACE CONVOY IN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL

OFFICIAL OPENING OF NEW CLUBHOUSE: ClG Iorras is delighted to announce the official opening of our new Clubhouse in Straid on Sunday (September 28th).

The members of CLG Iorras will be delighted if everyone in the parish, Inishowen and further afield could join us in celebrating what is an historic day in the club’s history.

Our underage members, U8’& U10’s teams will begin the day’s events by parading out from Centra, Clonmany with the Muff Accordion Band to the Club’s ground at 12.30pm. (can all children be in the car park for 12.15/12.20pm).

From 1.00pm there will be an underage blitz football programme (U13 to U16’s). Can all players for the blitz’s be at the clubhouse from 12.30pm.

At 2.00pm there will be a Ladies challenge match. The blessing and Official Opening of the clubhouse is planned for 3.00pm. Mairtin Mac Aibhne, President of the Ulster GAA Council is performing the Official Opening. Following the Official opening and blessing the Senior men will play Letterkenny Gaels in a challenge match, this is planned for 4.00/4.30pm.

Over the course of the afternoon there will be a variety of games and competitions, as well as refreshments galore to keep what is hoped to be a large attendance entertained.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the day.

CLUB MEETING: There will be a club meeting on Wednesday night at 8.00pm to finalise plans for the Official Opening.

Donations of home baking will be greatly appreciated by the club for the opening on Sunday, if you can help please let any committee member know.

JUNIOR A CHAMPIONSHIP: The senior team play Convoy in the championship semi final on the eve of the Official Opening, Saturday September 27th in Mac Cumhaill Park, Ballybofey at 7.00pm.

U13 TEAM : Our U13 team played Red Hughs last Wednesday night and secured another victory. The boys travel to play Milford on Wednesday night.

CLUB MERCHANDISE: Great selection of Club merchandise which can now be ordered , please contact Nichola Donaghey on 0866030736 if interested.

Nichola has samples of all the club gear.

Check our Facebook page to view the club gear. Items displayed are for children but adult sizes can also be purchased (check with Nichola for prices).

All Club merchandise will be on display at the Official Opening of clubhouse on Sunday.

CLUB BINGO: Bingo continues every Thursday night at 9pm in St. Mary’s Hall, Clonmany.
