The people in and around Cockhill in Buncrana have warned that unless upgrades are carried out to Cockhill Bridge soon, someone will be seriously hurt or killed.

The Cockhill Bridge Action Group have already carried out a number of protests on the bridge.

Now the group are planning another protest.

They are also calling on their local councillors to support their campaign.

Spokesman for CBAG Brendan Flanagan said “So far all our efforts have fallen on deaf ears, so we are forced to up the campaign, and our next community protest is on Sat 18th Oct at 2pm, at the bridge. Elite Dance Studio will be dancing on the bridge, and a large crowd is expected.”
