red hughsRed Hughs GAA Notes

Senior Ladies

The ladies had a disappointing result in the championship semi final v Urris in Burt on Saturday morning.

The Clonmany girls started brightly and raced into an early lead. The Reds ladies struggled to get a grip of the game in the first half and went in at the break having not registered a single score. Half Time Red Hughs 0-0 Urris 4-5

The second half was a different story with the Cross girls springing into life and managed to close the gap to just 6 points with ten minutes to go.

But unfortunately the gap was just too much to overcome.

The girls were left disappointed by their first half performance that surely cost them a final spot. The Final Score was Red Hughs 4-5 Urris 7-9

Next up for the ladies is a play off Match with Malin for a place in the league final. Hopefully the girls can bounce back and learn from their semi final defeat and come out stronger for this match. Date & Time of game T.B.C. Keep an eye on facebook for details.
