Garda AccidentFIRE crews from the North have cut a driver from a car after it flipped over during a crash today.

A Northern Ireland Fire Service spokesman said the motorist – who is male and 20-years-old – was rushed to hospital by ambulance.

“Staff were dispatched to a road traffic collision at Collatee near Ballindrait just after midday. The single vehicle incident involved an overturned car and crews used cutting gear to release a 20 year old male casualty. He was taken to hospital by ambulance,” said the spokesman.

Meanwhile Gardai have issued a warning to motorists in Donegal driving tonight and tomorrow.

It follows a weather alert earlier for strong winds and torrential rain.
