Ulster Minor Hurling Tournament 2014

Massive credit must go to our U18 hurlers who pulled off somewhat of a shock in the prestigious Ulster Minor Hurling Championship in Ballinascreen, winning on a scoreline of 2:9 to 1:8 against hot favourites Cuchulainns from Armagh, All the squad played their part but the performances of the day were by Jack O’Loughlin and Sam Doherty (Roe). They were simply exceptional from start to finish. Next up is the Shield Final against another surprise package Lisbellaw who accounted for strong favourites Dungannon in the other sem- final. Man thanks to all who travelled and supported. The final is scheduled for the 9th of November at 1pm. The exceptional thing about this squad is that only Jack out of the match day squad of 21 players is overage next year!

On behalf of the Management and Players we would like to thank St Colms Ballinascreen Gaa club for their superb hosting of the event and we’re already looking forward to the 9th of November.
