LADIES FOOTBALL
Commiserations to the Senior Ladies side who were narrowly beaten by Red Hughs in Muff on Saturday. The Killygordon based side came out on top on a 1-5 to 1-2 scoreline and now go on to contest the Division 4 final. Our girls can be very proud of their acheivements this season, after re-entering the league after an absence of a few years, they fulfilled every fixture and with the a great crop of underage players coming through the ranks, the future looks bright for ladies football within the club.
MENS FOOTBALL
As the season nears it’s climax, we still have 3 league games to play. At the time of going to press, it’s unclear if we will be in action this weekend. With the Senior County Final taking centre stage on Sunday, we may have a game either away to N. Conaill or at home to St Michaels on Saturday, both of whom who were beaten at the semi final stage of the championship last weekend. Any scheduled game will be published on the club facebook page and twitter accounts in the coming days.

KNOW YOUR PARISH
It’s time to get your teams together as we will be hosting our second ever Know Your Parish Quiz on Sat 8th of November. Last years event was an outstanding success and more importantly a great nights craic. You still have time to brush up on your local knowledge as we set out to see which townland will take home the coveted crown in 2014. Will the brain boxes of Ballynahona retain the title? How many ex school teachers will Terence Colhoun surround himself with this year in attempt to win the trophy? With no stag party to distract him this time, can Ali Farren come out on top? We would urge someone from each townland to get their team of 4 together in the coming weeks as its sure to be a night not to be missed. For more information, contact Pat Mc Laughlin on 087 2030115.
