Family Resource Centre:

PARENTS PLUS – RAPHOE STARTING WEDNESDAY 12TH NOVEMBER.

SUPPORTING PARENTS

Have you a child / children aged from 6 -11 years old?

Does it ever feel like world war 3 is breaking out in your home when it’s time to get homework started or when bedtime is mentioned?

Do you find it hard to get your child’s attention and end up getting becoming more frustrated?

Do you ever feel just at a loss as to what to do next (who hasn’t?)

Raphoe Family Resource Centre and Springboard Family Support Project are now taking names for a Parents Plus 8 week programme.

The Parents Plus Children’s Programme offers Parents an opportunity to come together in a relaxed and friendly environment to share idea and learn new techniques to help children be more co-operative and maintain boundaries, help them learn and reach their full potential.

BABY MASSAGE

Baby massaging session for babies 6 months or less begins Friday 7th November for 5 weeks 9:45 – 10:30. There is no cost for this activity.

Please bring a towel

YOUTH CAFÉ:

The Wednesday night Youth Café runs from 7-9pm at €2per week. New members are always welcome.

AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMME:

Tuesday; 3-4pm 3rd & 4th Classes Homework Support;

4-5pm 5th & 6th Classes Drop-in;

Wednesday; 2-3pm Junior & Senior Infants Play time;

3-4pm 1st & 2nd Classes Homework Support;

Thursday; 2-3pm Junior & Senior Infants Play time;

3-4pm 1st & 2nd Classes Homework Support.

Parents/guardians of 5th & 6th Class children please note that Tuesday from 4-5pm is now drop-in with activities such as pool, table-tennis etc. Thank you for your continuing support and cooperation.

LITTLE SMILES WITH BIG DREAMS

Little Smiles with Big Dreams is a parent and toddler group that meets every Wednesday morning at 10:30am – 12 noon in the Family Resource Centre. Anyone who is in care of a child where it is an aunt / uncle/ child-minder or grandparent is welcome. The kiddies can get involved in Messy play, free play, story time and music time where the adult can enjoy a cuppa tea and meet other adults. Parent and Toddler are a great way to enhance your little one confidence and meet others their age. A light lunch is provided and a small cost of 50 cent per family.

HEALTHY WALKS

If you are in and around Raphoe and would like to keep fit; join us on our Healthy walk every Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. The group meets in Raphoe Family Resource Centre. Everyone Welcome.

Rosalind and Frank Mc Brearty would like to extend sincere thanks to all those who generously supported their Tea/Coffee morning on Saturday 18th October at their home, Tullyrap, Raphoe in aid of the Shalom Centre for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation in Kenya, West Africa.

RAPHOE FRIDAY SENIORS CLUB:

The Club Meet every Friday in the Volt Hall from 10:30am until 1pm. For further information please contact the Secretary on 074-9145462 or the Tidy Town Office on 074-9145692. The Club are having a Halloween fundraising draw. Lines @ €2 will be available soon. Prizes include a luxury Mark’s & Spencer Voucher, Halloween Hamper and much more.
