Conor Gibbons has scored two excellent points from play to help St Eunan’s into a half-time lead in the Donegal SFC Final.

St Eunan’s lead Glenswilly by just one point at half-time in the Donegal SFC Final at Mac Cumhaill Park.

Gary McFadden opened the scoring for Glenswilly after Michael Murphy was adjudged to have been fouled by Sean Hensey.

Referee Martin Coll awarded the free and McFadden made no mistake to edge Glenswilly into an early lead.

However, St Eunan’s hit back with four unanswered points.

Two frees from Conall Dunne were dispatched expertly, before excellent points from play by Gibbons and then Dunne stretched St Eunan’s ahead by three.

Glenswilly hit back with two brilliant frees from Michael Murphy, and then Brian Farrelly scored their one and only point from play in the opening-half to level the game.

St Eunan’s responded again and Conor Gibbons got his second point from play with another wonderful point.

The game is delicately poised at half-time, St Eunan’s have been the better side and should be ahead by more, but they have kicked hit eight wide’s in the first-half.

Maxi Curran was also dealt a blow when Kevin Rafferty was forced to be substituted after sustaining a nasty eye-injury.

Half-time St Eunan’s 0-05 Glenswilly 0-04
