Ladies Competitions

Sponsor: Karen’s Hair Boutique- 15 holes stableford- 26th /28th October

Despite having 2 blanks on her card, Maureen Childs was the winner of the Karen’s Hair Boutique sponsored competition.

Runner up was Noelle Ward, who featured regularly as a prize winner this year. Marie Cassidy was third on a break of tie.

Bernie Finn is Golfer of the Year with74pts

Dorothy Woods won the Birdie Competition with Bernie Finn in runner up position.

The draw for the Winter League has taken place with 9 teams of 6 taking part – each team named after a Golf Club in Co Donegal. Competition began on Sunday 2nd November and runs from Sunday to Saturday with 3 best scores from each team counting. An innovation this year is “Player of the League” for the lady with the best score over the 5 weeks.

Men’s Competitions

Friday 31st of October.

In the Friday Open Oliver Plunkett took 1st place with 38pts from Ballybofey & Stranorlar’s Adrian McCarter on 37pts and Michael “D” Gallagher on 36pts. Sean Boyle had the best Gross with 28pts.

3. Michael “D” Gallagher (9) 36pts (bot)

Sunday 2nd November

Justin Coughlin was the winner of the Sunday Competition when his 38pts held off Paddy Carr on a break of tie. David Childs had 37pts to take 3rd and Matthew McGowan’s 33pts won the Gross.
