Letterkenny Court.

Atekah Rehman, of 29 Glenveagh Court Apartments, Justice Walsh Road, appeared at Letterkenny District Court charged with theft.

The 26 year old was caught by security staff taking 7 items including make-up and jewellery on October 15th last.

She had paid for a number of other items but did not pay for these items which she had put in her bag.

Solicitor Frank Dorrian said his client had no explanation as to why she had done this as she had never been in trouble in her life before.

He said she had recently given birth and suggested this may have affected her position but said she still cannot rationalise what had happened.

H said she was a HSE employee, had been in the country for two years and just wanted to dispose of the matter.

Judge Paul Kelly ordered Ms Rehman to make a donation of €150 to the Little Angels School in Letterkenny.
