It is not yet known if anyone has been seriously injured in the accident.

Gardaí have put temporary traffic diversions in place, while vehicle recovery personnel attempt to remove the car from the scene.

The local Fire Brigade is also at the scene and is assisting in the removal of the vehicle from the vicinity.

The diversions will remain in place until after Gardaí have carried out their investigations into the accident.
